Second Floor Magazine
Second Floor Press is a semi-ficticious publishing house that I dreamed up and conceptualized in collaboration with two peers in Fall 2024. Originally created for a project in Dan Weaver’s Book Publishing Essentials course, I have taken the company name and expanded upon it. In Spring 2025, I created Second Floor Magazine, an imprint of Second Floor Press, for my final project in George Restrepo’s Introduction to Design and Production course.
The first issue of Second Floor Magazine is comprised almost entirely of my original work—including art, photography, and writing—with a handful of featured works from close collaborators.

Second Floor Magazine is the brainchild of Lauren Mallett. Through years of writing, designing, and creating through various artistic mediums, Second FLoor Magazine was conceptualized in Spring 2025. It’s inaugural issue was printed on April 28, 2025.
